Oldklassiker im Heidiland

Since the early 80thies, Matlusch belongs to the best visited and most known climbing spots in eastern Switzerland. This fantastic climbing spot is located within vineyards and gives a awesome view towards ‘Landquart’. Some of the routes offer good and interesting crack climbing possibilities. The rest of the wall is vertical and has nice climbs on holes and crimps. Unfortunately, the base of the wall is very steep and you should be careful when walking from one route to the other. The spot has been reequipped and as a result no friends or nuts are used anymore. To be sure that the rope is long enough, you better take a 80m rope and make a knot in the end. In Matlusch, the best routes are between 5c and 6c, more difficult routes are not available.
