Classic, but also sportclimbing routes

Both, classic routes and sportclimbing routes can be found at Balmfluh. Balmfluh is one of the most visited climbing spots in the entire Jura. The long routes up to 10 pitches need caution. Either because of an up-coming storm or the dark of the night. Also, the starting points of the routes are not easy to find since there are a lot of trees and bushes. During summer the temperatures are often too hot to climb. The optimal season is spring and autumn. In the last years, many new climbing possibilities have been opened and there are still more walls to equip. To get there, it takes some time to walk.
