Three small walls for a small climbing spot
Burgflue located above the village Kerns (passing point when driving to the famous climbing spots Melchsee-Frutt and Cheselenflue) is not well known, but offers some good climbing in three different sectors. There you’ll find routes in different difficulties. Unfortunately this crag has not been visited often and so the equipment is not always from the best quality. But it‘s still worth to beeing visited. The easiest route, Burgi 5c, is a must. Most of the routes are technical and go up to 24 meters in a vertical wall. On the northwest there are also some good boulder traverses and hard routes which, since they have no sun very often, should be climbed on a hot summer day. On all other spots it‘s possible to climb during the winter season. The whole climbing spot is private land. So park your car near the village and nowhere else! The access takes about 15 minutes.
