Sportclimbing spot perfectly equipped

The enthusiastic climber Paul Kölliker created a pleasure climbing spot which became over the years one of the most visited in the area Olten-Aarau. The perfectly bolted routes and the information provided on place are a big plus and one can climb without guidebook or topo. The rock is of course not of the quality of a limestone of the south of French but the loose parts have been perfectly cleaned. The base of the crag has been well equipped with love and offers some cozy places to stay after climbing for a barbecue. Routes above 7a do not exist and one keen to try hard routes should turn to the Basler Jura or visit the crags around Biel/Bienne. Eppenberg is a pure pleasure crag for after work climbing in the summer sun or a climbing day in the shadow of the trees. The crag is north-west looking.
