Limestone climbing spot in the Haslital

The Rotsteini comes up with some awesome routes in the middle difficulty level which are about 20m high and offer a beautiful view upon the surrounding, huge peaks of the Berner Oberland. Of course, there is a great number of world-famous granite-climbs at Eldorado and the Handegg that are located in the upper part of the Haslital, but for those climbs it is often to cold and the passroad is anywhy closed from November through May. The Rotsteini has some individual sectors which are scattered wihtin the forest above the village of Meiringen. During the summer time, it is mostly to hot for an agreable climbing day. However, the Rotsteini is the most traditional climbing spot in the region around Meiringen.
